About Spencer Yachts Limited
Spencer Yachts Ltd. is a custom yacht builder located on Vancouver
Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Hulls and decks are molded fiberglass and are constructed to
the highest standards. Interior layouts of all vessels are custom
designed to fit the needs of the individual owner. All gear,
equipment and interior finishing is to the taste of the purchaser.
The vessels are available either as: Hull and deck kits
suitable for owner completion or as fully completed yachts.
Spencer Yachts are renowned for their proven offshore yacht
designs, which have gained a worldwide reputation for being
seaworthy and well built.
History
Spencer Boats. Ltd. of Vancouver, BC, Canada, began
producing Power and Sailing vessels in the late 1950’s.
In the early 1960’s the product line changed to fiberglass
hulled custom sailboats.
Over the years, dozens of different models were produced in
sizes ranging from 28 to 53 feet. The company developed a reputation
for quality products, and the 35, 44 and 53 foot models particularly,
proved to be very capable offshore yachts.
In 1997 the company was reorganized under new ownership and
the company name was changed to Spencer Yachts Ltd. to more
properly reflect our current product line. The Company now produces
seven different models of yacht from 35 to 46 feet in length.
New owners, Darcy and Malcolm Wilkinson are veteran offshore
sailors.
